People who know me, also know that I'm a huge Kardashian / Jenner fan and that Kylie is my favorite of the bunch (if you're here to give me hate about it: I do not want to hear about it, thank you) -- I even considered getting them lips done for a second, no joke. So when Kylie announced that she would be launching her own make up line, and a lipstick line as the very first, my heart literally stopped. I desperately tried to get my hands on them for weeks, only to find out that I was too late and they were all sold out.
That's when I started to follow several Instagram-accounts who kept an eye on restock times and posted the exact hour for each time zone. If you're interested: KylieLipKitUpdates and LipKitByKylieUpdates are my favorites. I was having a drink with my best friend and randomly checking my Instagram-feed, when I saw a post announcing that the Kylie Cosmetics restock would happen in half an hour. After 10 minutes of intense explaining on why I needed the Kylie Lip Kits in my life and begging my best friend to bring me home (not sorry, it was one of those now or never moments), I was sitting in front of my laptop and desperately clicking the refresh button for the next 15 minutes. The restock happened at the exact time they promised it would and I anxiously clicked Mary Jo K, Posie K and Kourt K home. They were my top 3 favorites from the beginning and I wanted to see the quality of them first, before ordering other shades as well. I quickly got a confirmation mail that they received my order and also got a tracking code, giving me very detailed information on the location of my package. They took about 2,5 weeks to get to me and I had to pay a 36 euros custom fee, which is a lot, but I didn't really care.
After two weeks or so, I happened to check KylieCosmetics.com for no particular reason and I saw that they happened to have restocked again. Skylie and Freedom were already sold out (bummer!) and after telling my mom (and myself) that I just had to order again -- because what are the chances, right? -- I purchased Dolce K, Koko K and Reign. Plus, I also ordered another Posie K for a friend of mine. Again: confirmation email, waiting 2,5 weeks and my babies were home! This time, I had to pay 40 euro for customs, though. I guess it's something to consider if you have to order Kylie Lip Kits from Europe, or outside the U.S. in general, as well.
I've read about people not getting their complete order or having troubles with the shipping, but I'm dead honest when I say that I have no complaints what so ever on this matter. Everything was handled correctly and I'm very pleased with their service.

First of all, I'd also want to say that I'm very pleased with the liquid lipsticks' texture. The texture's thin, making it easy to apply them nicely. After they have dried, they are as matte as a mofo and you don't feel them on your lips at all. Surviving a drink is peanuts and they only need a little retouching after a meal, which isn't any different from other liquid matte lipsticks I own. Taking them off is quite a job; I suggest using an oil based make up remover or you'll be scrubbing until the top layer of your lips comes off, no joke.
The only thing 'bothering' me is the smell: a strong vanilla / candy like smell. If you read my beauty posts on a regular basis, you know that I'm not a big fan of strong scented products. But then again, this is a personal issue and they do the job more than well, so shut me up!
Reign is a deep copper shade with a metallic shimmer and I'm absolutely loving it more than I expected! It's completely different from any other shade I own and even though I thought that it wouldn't match my skin tone, it surprisingly does. Which, of course, makes me want to order the other two metallics next time. Plus, this one comes off quite easily compared to the non-metallic, matte ones. The metallics all come as singles, without a lip pencil.
Next up is Dolce K and I'm not sure what to think about this one. It's described as "a deep beige nude", but it looks like a mocha brown on my lips. It just doesn't seem to go well with my skin tone. I'm kinda bummed, because I loved the shade when I saw it on others. Maybe I need to combine it with another lip pencil or with some bronzer. I'm keeping this one in consideration and if not, I will keep it in my make up stash just to look at it, lol.
When I first saw Posie K, I just knew I had to order it and I'm so glad I did! It's a cool, mid-tone berry shade and it's perfect for that little bit of extra on a random day. The color reminds me of MAC's Soar lip pencil, which was also sold out after the world found out that it was one of Kylie's favorites. I'm thinking to order a few more Posie K kits to have some stock, just in case.
Koko K is a pale pink color and was hard to capture on camera, since it's way more nude than it is on the picture above. I love the nude shades the Kardashians wear on their lips, but it's kind of difficult to pull them off when you're super pale as I am. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I applied Koko K -- I'll just use a little bronzer every time I want to wear it or I'll heavy my brows a bit, so that my face won't look too dull and bland.
If it's matte, red and has a blue undertone, I'll love it without a doubt. This isn't any different with Mary Jo K; I absolutely love this color. It's quite similar to MAC's Ruby Woo, which is always a hit. To me, these kind of reds are perfect for every skin tone. Wear it to a party at night or to work during the day: you can never ever go wrong with red lips. I'm definitely stocking up on this one as well.
Kourt K is a deep purple and is one of those love or hate shades. Even though they make me look like a goth, I love these kind of colors, especially during winter or a night out. The only thing about these dark colors is that it's more noticeable when the inner parts of your lips start to fade -- which is inevitable after a couple of hours. Just keep the lip pencil / lipstick in your purse so that you can touch up easily and you'll be fine.
Overall conclusion:
I'm happy I decided to purchase them and apart from the strong candy scent, I'm very pleased about the quality. However, if you're living outside of the U.S., the costs may (and will) add up. It's not so that I find these lip kits a gazillion times better than other liquid matte lipsticks, so if you find a nice dupe that will save you a couple of bucks, it's more than OK to go for that one. But if you decide to take the jump and order the lip kits, you won't be disappointed, I promise.
So, what do you think about Kylie Jenner (and her lip kits)?
