I'm probably way too late with this, but I still wanted to share what I hope will become at trend for this fall and winter. I've had a gazillion things to do lately and it was only until yesterday that I had the chance to have a look at the F/W '13-collections.
I'm not a big fan of winter clothes, to be honest. They make me feel trapped and claustrophobic. Turtlenecks are one of those items that send chills down my spine. They literally make me feel as if I can't breathe and I think I only own two of them, both purchased by my mom. Too bad for me, but it seems that turtlenecks are going to be one of the must have items again for fall and winter...
While browsing to the collections, the Balmain one immediately caught my eye. I'd already seen a flash of it on Sofie's website, but I could finally have a closer look at it. While clicking trough the images, I immediately knew: TURTLENECKS. Oh, the horror. Until I clicked a bit further and I bumped into the leather turtleneck pictured above. You know me, give me some leather and I'm a happy girl. Leather turtlenecks... I must admit that they definitely triggered something inside me. I'll keep an eye open for them and who knows: the leather version might change my opinion.
The leather turtlenecks are nice, but I just love love loveee the draped skirts and the fact that they're worn over black pants. They're going straight on top of my wish list. I can already see myself wearing them with a pair of black skinny trousers and leather boots, preferably over the knee or high waisted. The fact that they're gem colored, such as ruby, amethyst and emerald, makes it even better.
Thoughts?

I also love the jewel toned skirts! :) Lovely draping :) Not sure about the turtle-necks though, I can't imagine leather being very breathable!

Turtle-necks ... they look pretty in leather but they make my boobs look way too big! Besides that, they give me the feeling that every womens breasts hang at the level of their belly button. I just don't thing it is that flattering, but hey, they keep you warm in the Winter.
ReplyDeleteFabulous collection!
