Shark Attack Loves... // Eleven Paris 'Mirage' S/S '13-Collection

 photo ELEVENPARIS-COLLECTION-SS13-MIRAGE_zps72214773.jpg
With being most famous for their 'Life Is A Joke'-shirts - you know, where all the celebs are sporting an awesome moustache - most people seem to forget that Eleven Paris has awesome collections with outstanding pieces. I don't blame you, though. The LIAJ-shirts are too cool, I have the Kate Moss one, but it's a shame to think that this is what the brand's all about.

I received their lookbook of the S/S '13-collection and I love it. The collection is called 'Mirage' and here's what the people at Eleven Paris have to say about it:

"Mirage or memories, reality or hallucination, it is through the vision of a explorer that this spring-summer collection 2013 is articulated. We are left in a strange trip around the world and beyond. This journey, it's a explosion of references:
it passes through Africa where we bring with us weaved fabric and and bright colors. We make leaps in time, the futuristic style with clean lines and fluorescent colors joins the loaded style and baroque seventeenth. Hardly time to dock, we set sail to the Orient and the marine world for the final touch of exoticism."

The collection is divided into 3 themes - Apoteka (grunge & romantic allure), Dervish (oriental) and Elwa (ethnic and multicultural) - and it isn't that hard to find them in the photos.

I've made a selection of my favorite pictures and outfits from the lookbook. The ethnic prints were a hit last season and it looks like they're here to stay. You all know about my childhood memories and love for espadrilles in my previous post, so I'm glad to see that they also make an appearance at Eleven Paris. If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll find Shark Attack's all time favorite pieces from this collection.

New // Chanel Espadrilles

 photo DSC00583_zps2ba0ffa6.jpg
These babies have been put away safely in my closet for about a month now, but I never got the chance to show them to you. I was shopping in Düsseldorf with my mom, my sister and brother-in-law and of all the Chanel-stores I've been to up 'till now, Düsseldorf has the best selection (except for Paris, of course).

I've had my eyes on these espadrilles ever since the Chanel Cruise-collection hit the web, but my budget didn't allow me to splurge on anything. I then found my first 'job' as a teacher (well, I was just replacing someone who got sick) and I received my very first real paycheck. The perfect opportunity excuse to buy myself a little something, right? My sister and I used to wear espadrilles non stop when we were little. Whenever we went to Italy, my mom would buy them in tons of colors for only a couple of bucks. Aah, the good old days.

There were several colors available in Düsseldorf, but I don't see myself wearing a pair of lilac espadrilles any time soon, so I decided to go for neutral beige with the famous black tip. I can't wait to wear them with a my leather pants -- Yes, I'm pretty sure it'll be a positive match. These shoes have to be the cheapest pair in the Chanel-stores right now and if you're planning on buying a pair, you have to keep in mind that they size small. I'm a size 39 and I had to get a 40.

I've seen the espadrilles pop on tons of blogs for the past two or three weeks. ChiaraLizzyCarolineEsmée, ...  they all got them. I find it fascinating to see how a particular item becomes the most coveted item in only a short period of time. I mean, does it really depend on a handful of top bloggers to decide what's hot or not? I've been guilty of the Yves Saint Laurent Arty-ring and Maison Martin Margiela for H&M-booties hype, but only because I really love these items. I tend to let these hypes pass most of the time. Which hypes I'm talking about? The black pointy pumps and emerald green statement necklace by Zara, the white wedges by Mango, the tiger sweaters by Kenzo and so on.
If you happen to have a theory, do let me know. :)

Beauty // Elegant Touch Glitter Nails Review

 photo DSC00565_zpsbbd684b4.jpg
Hiya kiddos,

I've been glued to the couch since Sunday, due to an annoying flu. All I did was: browse on Tumblr for some inspirational pictures, check my favorite blogs and watch The Hills and Keeping Up With The Kardashians from scratch again. Oh, and I finally had the time to try out some new products I received a 'while' ago. I know, shame on me. Other bloggers I know already blogged about these goodies a gazillion years ago.  But hey, it's never too late to refresh the memory, right?

So, the first thing to test were these glitter pink fake nails by Elegant Touch, which are absolutely adorbz. I'm not the regular girly girl, but I love myself some pink and glitter from time to time. I received them in November and they would've been perfect for the holidays (oopsie), but hey, I think they're perfect for every party.

Outfit // It's Not Just A Fur, It's A Prada

Photobucket
Hi guys!

So, I'm jobless again, which means I can dedicate more time to the blog again. No, I didn't get fired, but the teacher I was replacing is all fit to teach again. I just have to look on the bright side of life, right?

Anyway, my leather-on-leather habits are going on full force again. In order to avoid repetitive outfits, I decided to throw on this bi-colored faux fur stole. I found it at Prada at the outlet shopping centre in Roermond and only payed 50 euros for it. #Score I've been lusting for this furry baby ever since I saw the S/S '11-collection hitting the runway. I initially wanted the striped version, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I then found this one, but it still was 120 euros. Being the good girl that I am, I waited patiently for the sales to start and voilà...

Belgium is covered in a blanket of snow now and it's kinda nice to see. My poor sensitive eyes are so puffy from all the white they're seeing, so excuse me if I look as if I'm under the influence of some forbidden goodies.

Faux Fur Stole: PRADA // Coat: ZARA // Leather Pants: H&M // Boots: UNKNOWN // Bag: VALENTINO (thanks to Verso)

Beauty // Favorite Make Up Look

Photobucket
First of all... A happy belated New Year! I know, I've been a horrible blogger lately. Shame on me, shame on me. Anyway, I celebrated my New Year's Eve at the local pub with my best friends. Fun and cosy, all I need. As for my resolutions... I did promise that I'd try to do pilates once a week. A colleague of mine is practicing it for a while now, and I decided to join in starting from next Monday. Curious to see how that'll turn out. Anyway, this post is about my favorite make up look, not my silly resolutions.

If you're a regular follower of Shark Attack here on the blog or on my Instagram-account (username: @Krizia_S), you've probably seen this look tons of times. I remember myself being a little girl, staring at my mom applying red lipstick, eyeliner and some mascara whenever she used to go out. She always told me that this look was the best one, that you could never go wrong with it. I wasn't allowed to wear make up 'till my 16th birthday (thank you, daddy), so the moment I turned 16, I asked my mom to try her eyeliner skills on me, since I didn't know how to do it myself. So, every time I would go out, my mom would do my make up. One day, I found myself with nothing to do, so I decided to try it myself. Believe me, applying eyeliner isn't so easy, so don't expect it to look perfect from try #1. I tried, applied, cursed at myself when it wouldn't work, but I got the hang of it eventually. Now, it takes me about 5 minutes to do my make up. A lot of you asked me how I get my eyeliner this way, but all I can say to you is: Keep practicing! I did an attempt to a tutorial once on the blog, you can check it out here. I hope it helps a bit.

I always use Clinique moisture surge liquid foundation shade '02', Clinique mascara and red lipsticks by Chanel, Kiko or Kate Moss for Rimmel. I prefer matte red lipsticks. As for my eyeliner, it's an eye pencil that you can get for a couple of euros at the drug store. It doesn't always have to be expensive. :)

Here's a small summary of my looks.
Do you have a make up look you tend to stick by no matter what?
